           “Revelation 10

New King James Version

The Mighty Angel with the Little Book

10 I saw still another mighty angel coming down from heaven, clothed with a cloud. And a rainbow was on his head, his face was like the sun, and his feet like pillars of fire. He had a little book open in his hand. And he set his right foot on the sea and his left foot on the land, and cried with a loud voice, as when a lion roars. When he cried out, seven thunders uttered their voices. Now when the seven thunders [a]uttered their voices, I was about to write; but I heard a voice from heaven saying [b]to me, “Seal up the things which the seven thunders uttered, and do not write them.”

The angel whom I saw standing on the sea and on the land raised up his [c]hand to heaven and swore by Him who lives forever and ever, who created heaven and the things that are in it, the earth and the things that are in it, and the sea and the things that are in it, that there should be delay no longer, but in the days of the sounding of the seventh angel, when he is about to sound, the mystery of God would be finished, as He declared to His servants the prophets.

John Eats the Little Book

Then the voice which I heard from heaven spoke to me again and said, “Go, take the little book which is open in the hand of the angel who stands on the sea and on the earth.”

So I went to the angel and said to him, “Give me the little book.”

And he said to me, “Take and eat it; and it will make your stomach bitter, but it will be as sweet as honey in your mouth.”

10 Then I took the little book out of the angel’s hand and ate it, and it was as sweet as honey in my mouth. But when I had eaten it, my stomach became bitter. 11 And [d]he said to me, “You must prophesy again about many peoples, nations, tongues, and kings.”

“10:2—4. The little book is probably a title deed to the earth (cf. Jer. 32:10, 11). It symbolizes Christ’s right to possess and rule the earth (cf. Ps. 2:6-9). The planting of the feet on the sea and the earth (dry land) shows Christ’s authority over the earth in its entirety, and the appropriation of His promised inheritance as Messiah. The loud voice shows authority as well. The little book may also contain more judgments (cf. Ezek. 2:8—3:3). The seven thunders or peals of thunder may be further messages of judgment, such as the seven bowl judgments still to come (ch. 16). He is here told to seal them up, since they will be described in detail later.”           (THE KING JAMES STUDY BIBLE—KING JAMES VERSION—THOMAS NELSON—Since 1798)

The Seven Bowls

16 Then I heard a loud voice from the temple saying to the seven angels, “Go and pour out the [a]bowls of the wrath of God on the earth.”

First Bowl: Loathsome Sores

So the first went and poured out his bowl upon the earth, and a [b]foul and loathsome sore came upon the men who had the mark of the beast and those who worshiped his image.

Good morning beloved of YESHUA CHRIST JESUS. Beloved, I had more than the first and second verses in this chapter 16, however, when I read the Scriptures, I had gathered together, I went back to the “First Bowl” and I believe I could clearly hear my LORD’S Holy Spirit say “Meditate on this.” Amen.

Therefore, I did just that, I only posted the “First Bowl” and will post each bowl until we are through this chapter 16, and, as I heed the voice of my LORD’S Holy Spirit, should you so desire, join me and just pause (Selah) and meditate on what our LORD’S Holy Spirit says in His most Holy Word. Amen; that we receive all the sweet nectar our LORD-GOD has for us as He reveals Himself to us. Amen. Amen.

He who has an ear, let him hear what the Holy Spirit says to His church. Amen.

Have a blessed Monday beloved of YESHUA CHRIST JESUS. Amen.           Sincerely: Mr. and Mrs. Timothy M. and Linda Shephard. Amen.
