Institution of the Lord’s Supper

23 For I received from the Lord that which I also delivered to you: that the Lord Jesus on the same night in which He was betrayed took bread; 24 and when He had given thanks, He broke it and said, [a]“Take, eat; this is My body which is [b]broken for you; do this in remembrance of Me.” 25 In the same manner He also took the cup after supper, saying, “This cup is the new covenant in My blood. This do, as often as you drink it, in remembrance of Me.”

Who has delivered your enemies into your hand.”

Nathan’s Parable and David’s Confession

12 Then the Lord sent Nathan to David. And he came to him, and said to him: “There were two men in one city, one rich and the other poor. The rich man had exceedingly many flocks and herds. But the poor man had nothing, except one little ewe lamb which he had bought and nourished; and it grew up together with him and with his children. It ate of his own food and drank from his own cup and lay in his bosom; and it was like a daughter to him. And a traveler came to the rich man, who refused to take from his own flock and from his own herd to prepare one for the wayfaring man who had come to him; but he took the poor man’s lamb and prepared it for the man who had come to him.”

So David’s anger was greatly aroused against the man, and he said to Nathan, “As the Lord lives, the man who has done this [a]shall surely die! And he shall restore fourfold for the lamb, because he did this thing and because he had no pity.”

Then Nathan said to David, “You are the man! Thus says the Lord God of Israel: ‘I anointed you king over Israel, and I delivered you from the hand of Saul. I gave you your master’s house and your master’s wives into your keeping, and gave you the house of Israel and Judah. And if that had been too little, I also would have given you much more! Why have you despised the commandment of the Lord, to do evil in His sight? You have killed Uriah the Hittite with the sword; you have taken his wife to be your wife, and have killed him with the sword of the people of Ammon. 10 Now therefore, the sword shall never depart from your house, because you have despised Me, and have taken the wife of Uriah the Hittite to be your wife.’ 11 Thus says the Lord: ‘Behold, I will raise up adversity against you from your own house; and I will take your wives before your eyes and give them to your neighbor, and he shall lie with your wives in the sight of this sun.

           “12:1-4   |   When the prophet Nathan came to see David, it was not for encouragement or confirmation but for confrontation. Nathan used a parable to help David see his sin and call him to repentance. Psalms 32 and 51 express David’s intense feelings of guilt and his repentance after Nathan’s prophecy.’

           ‘12:5, 6   |   David’s sense of justice was still alive and well, but he had lost the ability to see his own sin.’

           ‘12:9   |   David broke the tenth commandment (coveting; Ex. 20:17), the seventh commandment (adultery; Ex. 20:14), and the sixth commandment (murder; Ex. 20:13),’

           ‘12:10, 11   |   The price of sin is often much higher than is realized (Ps. 32), even when a person has repented and been forgiven. The consequences of David’s sin toward Bathsheba and Uriah continued for generations. From this time forward, David’s household experienced many violent deaths by the sword, including his sons Amnon (13:29), Absalom (18:15), and Adonijah (1 Kgs. 2:24, 25). David’s son Absalom also took David’s wives (16:22).”                      (THE JEREMIAH STUDY BIBLE—DR. DAVID JEREMIAH—NEW KING JAMES STUDY BIBLE—WORTHY)

           Good morning beloved of YESHUA CHRIST JESUS. Beloved, though we just had the blessing from our LORD-GOD, to partake of the sweet nectar of the Holy Scripture of Psalm 32, let us beloved once again, glean the spiritual, natural, and emotional nutrition of this psalm; as our LORD’S Holy Spirit led Dr. David Jeremiah to list it again in his commentary on (2 Samuel chapter 12). Amen.

           However, beloved, if you need not to glean from these Scriptures again, then I’ll/we’ll meet you on the other side, for beloved, if I read just this Psalm 32 each and every day, I’ll need to read it one more time, after I leave this body, so when I am face to face with my GOD and Father, my Savior and LORD-YESHUA CHRIST JESUS, my LORD’S Holy Spirit, maybe, just maybe, I may be prepared, a little more, for the absolutely, magnanimous, mind numbing, awesome, glory of my LORD-GOD, maybe: probably not, but maybe.

           Therefore, beloved, should you so choose, partake with me, the awesome revelation of my/our Savior and LORD-YESHUA CHRIST JESUS, as well as the revelation of my/our wretchedness, before and without our Savior-LORD-Redeemer-YESHUA CHRIST JESUS, and His Holy Spirit, as well as our adoption by my/our heavenly Abba-Father-GOD—through our Savior-The Lamb of GOD, and His Holy Spirit. Amen. Amen. Amen.

New King James Version

The Joy of Forgiveness

A Psalm of David. A [a]Contemplation.

32 Blessed is he whose transgression is forgiven,
Whose sin is covered.
Blessed is the man to whom the Lord does not [b]impute iniquity,
And in whose spirit there is no deceit.

When I kept silent, my bones grew old
Through my groaning all the day long.
For day and night Your hand was heavy upon me;
My vitality was turned into the drought of summer. Selah
I acknowledged my sin to You,
And my iniquity I have not hidden.
I said, “I will confess my transgressions to the Lord,”
And You forgave the iniquity of my sin. Selah

For this cause everyone who is godly shall pray to You
In a time when You may be found;
Surely in a flood of great waters
They shall not come near him.
You are my hiding place;
You shall preserve me from trouble;
You shall surround me with songs of deliverance. Selah

I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go;
I will guide you with My eye.
Do not be like the horse or like the mule,
Which have no understanding,
Which must be harnessed with bit and bridle,
Else they will not come near you.

10 Many sorrows shall be to the wicked;
But he who trusts in the Lord, mercy shall surround him.
11 Be glad in the Lord and rejoice, you righteous;
And shout for joy, all you upright in heart!
