Institution of the Lord’s Supper
23 For I received from the Lord that which I also delivered to you: that the Lord Jesus on the same night in which He was betrayed took bread; 24 and when He had given thanks, He broke it and said, [a]“Take, eat; this is My body which is [b]broken for you; do this in remembrance of Me.” 25 In the same manner He also took the cup after supper, saying, “This cup is the new covenant in My blood. This do, as often as you drink it, in remembrance of Me.”

Good morning beloved; who have been saved by grace (GOD’S gift to the world—His only begotten Son-YESHUA CHRIST JESUS) through faith (in the precious Blood, death, burial, and resurrection [on the third day, according to Scripture] of our Messiah-YESHUA CHRIST JESUS-by His Holy Spirit; for the forgiveness of our sin of self-righteousness.) Amen.

Abram and Melchizedek
18 Then Melchizedek king of Salem brought out bread and wine; he was the priest of God Most High. 19 And he blessed him and said:
“Blessed be Abram of God Most High,
Possessor of heaven and earth;
20 And blessed be God Most High,
Who has delivered your enemies into your hand.”
And he gave him [a]a tithe of all.

New King James Version
A Distressing Spirit Troubles Saul
14 But the Spirit of the Lord departed from Saul, and a distressing spirit from the Lord troubled him. 15 And Saul’s servants said to him, “Surely, a distressing spirit from God is troubling you. 16 Let our master now command your servants, who are before you, to seek out a man who is a skillful player on the harp. And it shall be that he will play it with his hand when the [a]distressing spirit from God is upon you, and you shall be well.”
17 So Saul said to his servants, [b]“Provide me now a man who can play well, and bring him to me.”
18 Then one of the servants answered and said, “Look, I have seen a son of Jesse the Bethlehemite, who is skillful in playing, a mighty man of valor, a man of war, prudent in speech, and a handsome person; and the Lord is with him.”
19 Therefore Saul sent messengers to Jesse, and said, “Send me your son David, who is with the sheep.” 20 And Jesse took a donkey loaded with bread, a skin of wine, and a young goat, and sent them by his son David to Saul. 21 So David came to Saul and stood before him. And he loved him greatly, and he became his armorbearer. 22 Then Saul sent to Jesse, saying, “Please let David stand before me, for he has found favor in my sight.” 23 And so it was, whenever the spirit from God was upon Saul, that David would take a harp and play it with his hand. Then Saul would become refreshed and well, and the distressing spirit would depart from him.

“16:14-23 | It did not matter that David had no formal training to be king. God took care of that—carving out free instruction on palace protocol and military strategy by way of David’s gift of music. While he was serving Saul, he was quietly learning how to be king. This seems to be true of every Christian: God prepares His children to lead and to do His will by teaching them to serve.’
’16:14 | Just as the Spirit of the LORD anointed and empowered David, it departed from Saul. Even though he still reigned, he was no longer the chosen one.” (THE JEREMIAH STUDY BIBLE—DR. DAVID JEREMIAH—NEW KING JAMES STUDY BIBLE—WORTHY)
“TOUGH QUESTIONS
Can the Holy Spirit be removed from believers today? ● 16:14
In the OT, the Spirit of God did not permanently indwell believers; He only selectively and temporarily filled them for service. But in Saul’s case, “The Spirit of the LORD departed”—permanently. This is why, after David sinned with Bathsheba, he wrote: “Do not cast me away from Your presence, and do not take Your Holy Spirit from me” (Ps. 51:11). David understood that, through sin, he could lose the empowered blessing of the Spirit of God on his life.
This cannot happen to believers today, because we live in a different age—the church age. The Spirit of God has been poured into our hearts to permanently indwell us. While the NT teaches that genuine faith will yield good works (James 2:14-17), it also teaches that evil spiritual forces are at work within the world to entice God’s people to sin (Eph. 6:10-12; 1 Pet. 5:8-9; 1 John 2:15-17). For this reason, we should remain alert: so we will not grieve the Spirit who lives and works in us (Eph. 4:30).” (THE JEREMIAH STUDY BIBLE—DR. DAVID JEREMIAH—NEW KING JAMES STUDY BIBLE—WORTHY)

Amplified Bible
The Armor of God
10 In conclusion, be strong in the Lord [draw your strength from Him and be empowered through your union with Him] and in the power of His [boundless] might. 11 Put on the full armor of God [for His precepts are like the splendid armor of a heavily-armed soldier], so that you may be able to [successfully] stand up against all the schemes and the strategies and the deceits of the devil. 12 For our struggle is not against flesh and blood [contending only with physical opponents], but against the rulers, against the powers, against the world forces of this [present] darkness, against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly (supernatural) places.

The Whole Armor of God
10 Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might. 11 Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the [a]wiles of the devil. 12 For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of [b]the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places.
