Institution of the Lord’s Supper

23 For I received from the Lord that which I also delivered to you: that the Lord Jesus on the same night in which He was betrayed took bread; 24 and when He had given thanks, He broke it and said, [a]“Take, eat; this is My body which is [b]broken for you; do this in remembrance of Me.” 25 In the same manner He also took the cup after supper, saying, “This cup is the new covenant in My blood. This do, as often as you drink it, in remembrance of Me.”

           Good morning beloved; who have been saved by grace (GOD’S gift to the world—His only begotten Son-YESHUA CHRIST JESUS) through faith (in the precious Blood, death, burial, and resurrection [on the third day, according to Scripture] of our Messiah-YESHUA CHRIST JESUS-by His Holy Spirit; for the forgiveness of our sin of self-righteousness.) Abram and Melchizedek

18 Then Melchizedek king of Salem brought out bread and wine; he was the priest of God Most High. 19 And he blessed him and said:

“Blessed be Abram of God Most High,
Possessor of heaven and earth;
20 And blessed be God Most High,
Who has delivered your enemies into your hand.”

New King James Version

A Distressing Spirit Troubles Saul

14 But the Spirit of the Lord departed from Saul, and a distressing spirit from the Lord troubled him. 15 And Saul’s servants said to him, “Surely, a distressing spirit from God is troubling you. 16 Let our master now command your servants, who are before you, to seek out a man who is a skillful player on the harp. And it shall be that he will play it with his hand when the [a]distressing spirit from God is upon you, and you shall be well.”

17 So Saul said to his servants, [b]“Provide me now a man who can play well, and bring him to me.”

18 Then one of the servants answered and said, “Look, I have seen a son of Jesse the Bethlehemite, who is skillful in playing, a mighty man of valor, a man of war, prudent in speech, and a handsome person; and the Lord is with him.”

19 Therefore Saul sent messengers to Jesse, and said, “Send me your son David, who is with the sheep.” 20 And Jesse took a donkey loaded with bread, a skin of wine, and a young goat, and sent them by his son David to Saul. 21 So David came to Saul and stood before him. And he loved him greatly, and he became his armorbearer. 22 Then Saul sent to Jesse, saying, “Please let David stand before me, for he has found favor in my sight.” 23 And so it was, whenever the spirit from God was upon Saul, that David would take a harp and play it with his hand. Then Saul would become refreshed and well, and the distressing spirit would depart from him.

           “16:14-23   |   It did not matter that David had no formal training to be king. God took care of that—carving out free instruction on palace protocol and military strategy by way of David’s gift of music. While he was serving Saul, he was quietly learning how to be king. This seems to be true of every Christian: God prepares His children to lead and to do His will by teaching them to serve.’

           ’16:14   |   Just as the Spirit of the LORD anointed and empowered David, it departed from Saul. Even though he still reigned, he was no longer the chosen one.”             (THE JEREMIAH STUDY BIBLE—DR. DAVID JEREMIAH—NEW KING JAMES STUDY BIBLE—WORTHY)

           “TOUGH QUESTIONS

           Can the Holy Spirit be removed from believers today? 16:14

           In the OT, the Spirit of God did not permanently indwell believers; He only selectively and temporarily filled them for service. But in Saul’s case, “The Spirit of the LORD departed”—permanently. This is why, after David sinned with Bathsheba, he wrote: “Do not cast me away from Your presence, and do not take Your Holy Spirit from me” (Ps. 51:11). David understood that, through sin, he could lose the empowered blessing of the Spirit of God on his life.

           This cannot happen to believers today, because we live in a different age—the church age. The Spirit of God has been poured into our hearts to permanently indwell us. While the NT teaches that genuine faith will yield good works (James 2:14-17), it also teaches that evil spiritual forces are at work within the world to entice God’s people to sin (Eph. 6:10-12; 1 Pet. 5:8-9; 1 John 2:15-17). For this reason, we should remain alert: so we will not grieve the Spirit who lives and works in us (Eph. 4:30).”                      (THE JEREMIAH STUDY BIBLE—DR.            “Psalm 51

New King James Version

A Prayer of Repentance

To the Chief Musician. A Psalm of David when Nathan the prophet went to him, after he had gone in to Bathsheba.

51 Have mercy upon me, O God,
According to Your lovingkindness;
According to the multitude of Your tender mercies,
Blot out my transgressions.
Wash me thoroughly from my iniquity,
And cleanse me from my sin.

For I acknowledge my transgressions,
And my sin is always before me.
Against You, You only, have I sinned,
And done this evil in Your sight—
That You may be found just [a]when You speak,
And blameless when You judge.

Behold, I was brought forth in iniquity,
And in sin my mother conceived me.
Behold, You desire truth in the inward parts,
And in the hidden part You will make me to know wisdom.

Purge me with hyssop, and I shall be clean;
Wash me, and I shall be whiter than snow.
Make me hear joy and gladness,
That the bones You have broken may rejoice.
Hide Your face from my sins,
And blot out all my iniquities.

10 Create in me a clean heart, O God,
And renew a steadfast spirit within me.
11 Do not cast me away from Your presence,
And do not take Your Holy Spirit from me.

12 Restore to me the joy of Your salvation,
And uphold me by Your generous Spirit.
13 Then I will teach transgressors Your ways,
And sinners shall be converted to You.

14 Deliver me from the guilt of bloodshed, O God,
The God of my salvation,
And my tongue shall sing aloud of Your righteousness.
15 O Lord, open my lips,
And my mouth shall show forth Your praise.
16 For You do not desire sacrifice, or else I would give it;
You do not delight in burnt offering.
17 The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit,
A broken and a contrite heart—
These, O God, You will not despise.

18 Do good in Your good pleasure to Zion;
Build the walls of Jerusalem.
19 Then You shall be pleased with the sacrifices of righteousness,
With burnt offering and whole burnt offering;
Then they shall offer bulls on Your altar.

           Let him who has an ear, hear what the Holy Spirit says to His church. Amen.

           Good morning beloved of YESHUA CHRIST JESUS. To the new Christian and/or to the one seeking absolute “Truth” and “Hope” here, in these Scriptures, our LORD has provided, through our man of GOD, “King David” true repentance from sin, through our Redeemer-YESHUA CHRIST JESUS, back, from our sin, to our heavenly Father-GOD, as His adopted children—through His awesome gift, our Savior and LORD-YESHUA CHRIST JESUS. Amen.

           Repentance beloved, begins in a broken heart (v.v. 1-2);

           Repentance beloved, begins when we acknowledge that we have sinned against the One True GOD—our heavenly—Father-GOD and against Him only have we sinned (v.v. 3-4);

           Repentance beloved, begins when we acknowledge our Savior as our Creator-GOD, that He alone created all creation and we acknowledge Him and Him alone as Creator of us and of all that has ever been created and that we were born into sin because of satan deceiving Adam and Eve, whom our LORD-GOD, created; male and female, who our heavenly Father-GOD created (v.v. 5-6);

           Repentance beloved, begins when we acknowledge that in our Creator-GOD alone is redemption, therefore, we appeal to Him and Him alone to cleanse us through His gift of our Redeemer-YESHUA CHRIST JESUS (v.v. 7-9);

           Repentance beloved, begins when we acknowledge that only after asking our heavenly Father-GOD to redeem us through His Lamb of GOD-YESHUA CHRIST JESUS to cleanse us, that we can then receive His Holy Spirit and commune with our heavenly Father-GOD as His adopted children, in intimate, Holy communion (v.v. 10-12);

           Repentance beloved, begins when we, with our mouths, confess to the world that our heavenly Father-GOD, He alone is GOD, through our testimony of our mouth and our lives (v.v. 13-17);

           Repentance beloved, begins when we love what our heavenly Father-GOD loves; Israel, the people and land with His Name on it and His promises that come through blessing what our LORD-GOD blesses, faith in His only begotten Son-YESHUA CHRIST JESUS (v.v. 18-19.)

           Beloved of YESHUA CHRIST JESUS, let us praise our heavenly Father-GOD that once we answer His call for us to receive Him as our One and Only GOD and Father, through His awesome gift of His only begotten Son-YESHUA CHRIST JESUS, Who then fills us with His Holy Spirit; that we can never-ever lose our salvation that only came in, from, and through Him, Him alone. Amen;

God’s Everlasting Love

31 What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us? 32 He who did not spare His own Son, but delivered Him up for us all, how shall He not with Him also freely give us all things? 33 Who shall bring a charge against God’s elect? It is God who justifies. 34 Who is he who condemns? It is Christ who died, and furthermore is also risen, who is even at the right hand of God, who also makes intercession for us. 35 Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? 36 As it is written:

“For Your sake we are killed all day long;
We are accounted as sheep for the slaughter.”

37 Yet in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us. 38 For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities nor powers, nor things present nor things to come, 39 nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
