Institution of the Lord’s Supper
23 For I received from the Lord that which I also delivered to you: that the Lord Jesus on the same night in which He was betrayed took bread; 24 and when He had given thanks, He broke it and said, [a]“Take, eat; this is My body which is [b]broken for you; do this in remembrance of Me.” 25 In the same manner He also took the cup after supper, saying, “This cup is the new covenant in My blood. This do, as often as you drink it, in remembrance of Me.”

Abram and Melchizedek
18 Then Melchizedek king of Salem brought out bread and wine; he was the priest of God Most High. 19 And he blessed him and said:
“Blessed be Abram of God Most High,
Possessor of heaven and earth;
20 And blessed be God Most High,
Who has delivered your enemies into your hand.”
And he gave him [a]a tithe of all.

24 Then the king said to Araunah, “No, but I will surely buy it from you for a price; nor will I offer burnt offerings to the Lord my God with that which costs me nothing.” So David bought the threshing floor and the oxen for fifty shekels of silver.

“24:24. The apparent discrepancy between the fifty shekels paid to Araunah mentioned here and the six hundred recorded by the author of Chronicles (1 Chr. 21:25), probably has to do with the differences in the amount of land purchased as indicated in the two accounts. Samuel speaks of the threshing floor as a site for the housing of the ark. Chronicles mentions the whole territory including the threshing floor, hence the price is much larger. The bigger area will be the location of Solomon’s temple (cf. 1 Kin. 6:1, 2; 2 Chr. 3:1-4). Since the amount in Chronicles is introductory to David’s preparation for the building of the temple, it served the purposes of the author of Chronicles to mention the purchase of the whole site. The account in Samuel, however, is more limited in scope, being concerned with the offerings necessary to stay the plague (vv. 21, 25).
Abraham went to the “land of Moriah” when he offered his son Isaac (Gen. 22:2). The author of Chronicles (2 Chr. 3:1) associates Mount Moriah with the threshing floor of Araunah (Ornan, 1 Chr. 21:18).” (THE KING JAMES STUDY BIBLE—King James Version—THOMAS NELSON—Since 1798)
“24 Then the king said to Araunah, “No, but I will surely buy it from you for a price; nor will I offer burnt offerings to the Lord my God with that which costs me nothing.”
Let him who has an ear, hear what the Holy Spirit says to His church. Amen.
Good morning beloved of YESHUA CHRIST JESUS; beloved, we do not offer up burnt offerings to GOD anymore, as the Lamb of GOD-YESHUA CHRIST JESUS is our offering. Amen.
Therefore, as the Lamb of GOD-YESHUA CHRIST JESUS, fulfilled the entire law, what is there now, that you are unwilling to offer to the LORD our GOD? What, or who, are you unwilling to offer up to our LORD-GOD?
After my LORD warned me, for three days, of the danger of withholding my wife from Him, after my earthly father had passed suddenly; fearing that GOD would kill my wife also, being unwilling to even let my wife’s hand go; I surrendered her to Him, on my knees, begging Him to keep His word to me that He would protect her, confessing that I would not allow anyone or anything on His throne in my heart, ever again. Amen.
My LORD has kept His word to me and I have (as best I can) kept my word to Him and then, He taught me that death is His enemy, therefore, death is my enemy also, therefore, I have never accused my LORD-GOD of using His enemy against me, neither have I ever allowed anyone nor anything on the throne of my heart but Him and Him alone. Amen. For beloved, it is a fact that my LORD-GOD alone, is faithful. Amen.
