Institution of the Lord’s Supper

23 For I received from the Lord that which I also delivered to you: that the Lord Jesus on the same night in which He was betrayed took bread; 24 and when He had given thanks, He broke it and said, [a]“Take, eat; this is My body which is [b]broken for you; do this in remembrance of Me.” 25 In the same manner He also took the cup after supper, saying, “This cup is the new covenant in My blood. This do, as often as you drink it, in remembrance of Me.”

Hello beloved; who have been saved by grace (GOD’S gift to the world—His only begotten Son-YESHUA CHRIST JESUS) through faith (in the precious Blood, death, burial, and resurrection [on the third day, according to Scripture] of our Messiah-YESHUA CHRIST JESUS-by His Holy Spirit; for the forgiveness of our sin of self-righteousness.) Amen.

Abram and Melchizedek

18 Then Melchizedek king of Salem brought out bread and wine; he was the priest of God Most High. 19 And he blessed him and said:

“Blessed be Abram of God Most High,
Possessor of heaven and earth;
20 And blessed be God Most High,
Who has delivered your enemies into your hand.”

And he gave him [a]a tithe of all.

Good morning beloved of YEHSUA CHRIST JESUS. Beloved, I pray you had a blessed Christmas. For those who have lost a spouse or a child to the enemy of death, I pray you allow(ed) my LORD to minister the comfort only He can. Amen. For beloved, no man, as much as we desire, can touch such a pain that goes so deep into the heart but He Who sacrificed His only begotten Son to the death, for sin, He didn’t commit. Amen.

My Queen and I had the most beautiful Christmas we’ve ever had together. We had just a few gifts to give to each other, we were unable to shop for gifts because baby was in the hospital, and what a blessing it was to not be distracted by the pressure of buying gifts, but, to have the blessing of thanking our heavenly Father-GOD, in the Holy precious Name of His only begotten Son-YESHUA CHRIST JESUS, through the resurrection power of His Holy Spirit; for the gift of each other. Amen.

For we gave thanks for the blessing of each other, being mindful that there were those who missed, terribly bad, spouses, children, and parents, at Christmas, and daily. I think this will be a norm for us from here on out, to limit ourselves to just a few gifts, that we focus on the gift of our Savior and LORD-YESHUA CHRIST JESUS and His blessing to us, of each other. Amen.

“24:1 This event is placed by the writer of 1 Chr. 21 at the end of David’s reign, during his final talks with Solomon and preparations for transferring the kingdom to him. See note on 1 Chr. 21:1 for a further explanation of this event.”           (NEW SPIRIT FILLED LIFE Bible—Jack W. Hayford, Litt.D.—New King James Version—THOMAS NELSON—Since 1798)

“21:1-30 At this juncture, 1 Chr. Passes over a number of events in the life of David and proceeds to the end of his life. The chronicler does not discuss the events of 2 Sam. 13:1—23:7, including David’s troubles with Amnon and Tamar, his son Absalom, Ziba, Shimei, and Sheba. Instead, the author moves directly to those incidents that set the stage for building the temple.’

’21:1 To number Israel: The census of David in this chapter is also recorded in 2 Sam. 24, but there it states that it was because God was angry with Israel (the reason for this is unclear) that He moved David to take the census. The account of the census has been problematic because God does not cause anyone to sin (James 1:13) and because it is not apparent why such a census was wrong (Num. 1:2, 3; 26:2-4). The first problem is clarified by comparing 2 Sam. 24:1 with 1 Chr. 21:1. God did not directly incite David to do something for which he would then turn around and judge him (v. 14); rather, He allowed Satan to influence David to do what David probably already had in his heart to do (James 1:14, 15).”       (NEW SPIRIT FILLED LIFE Bible—Jack W. Hayford, Litt.D.—New King James Version—THOMAS NELSON—Since 1798)

New King James Version

The Advice of Ahithophel

15 Meanwhile Absalom and all the people, the men of Israel, came to Jerusalem; and Ahithophel was with him. 16 And so it was, when Hushai the Archite, David’s friend, came to Absalom, that Hushai said to Absalom, “Long live the king! Long live the king!”

17 So Absalom said to Hushai, “Is this your loyalty to your friend? Why did you not go with your friend?”

18 And Hushai said to Absalom, “No, but whom the Lord and this people and all the men of Israel choose, his I will be, and with him I will remain. 19 Furthermore, whom should I serve? Should I not serve in the presence of his son? As I have served in your father’s presence, so will I be in your presence.”

20 Then Absalom said to Ahithophel, “Give advice as to what we should do.”

21 And Ahithophel said to Absalom, “Go in to your father’s concubines, whom he has left to keep the house; and all Israel will hear that you are abhorred by your father. Then the hands of all who are with you will be strong.” 22 So they pitched a tent for Absalom on the top of the house, and Absalom went in to his father’s concubines in the sight of all Israel.

23 Now the advice of Ahithophel, which he gave in those days, was as if one had inquired at the oracle of God. So was all the advice of Ahithophel both with David and with Absalom.
